Up All Night
Max has changed his schedule again. Between yesterday and today, I was up 29 hours without sleep. Max just would not sleep and is spitting up a lot. I guess he is having tummy trouble. Robert was home today and all three of us were worn out. It didn't wear Max out! On a positive note, Max weighed 8 lb. 12 oz. yesterday on our postal scale. He also went for his first ride around the block in his stroller this afternoon and seemed to really enjoy it! Katy is sleeping when she can between nursings but is very tired. She does seem to be enjoying Max more and it is really sweet to see Max asleep on her chest..............yes, the one time he will sleep for a few minutes!

Max's Day
Today we took Max to the pediatrician for his check-up. He is doing great! 21 1/2 inches long and 8 lb. 1 oz. We went over a few things with the ped and she was great, taking time to explain things to us. She said Max can have a 4 - 5 hour sleeping stretch at night. Maybe Mommy can get more rest! Great visit!
Max was a little fussy the rest of the day but maybe he was just tired. He is nursing great and is changing his style. Each day is different. His eyes are bright and more alert. Monkey, giraffe, and elephant vinyl letters on his wall beside his changing table keep he entertained during diaper changes...............which are often.
Kathy Nelson sent Max a huge box of cookies from Cheryl's that we have been enjoying.........sorry Max but they are keeping up awake and happy so we can take care of you! Yea, Kathy!

And The Family Comes To Visit
Max had his first visitors today after coming home from the hospital. Papa, Jane, Uncle George, Aunt Adair, Samantha, & Cal. He enjoyed being held by everyone and slept through most of the visit. Max seemed very content today and nursed well. After enjoying his sponge bath, he snuggled with Daddy while Mommy got some much needed rest.
